An 8-year-old Paulding County girl who was allegedly abused by her step-father has been found in Arizona.

Paulding sheriff’s Cpl. Brandon Gurley said early Saturday that Isabella Eve Petty and her 1-year-old brother have been taken into protective custody by authorities in Phoenix.

The children were with their mother, Casey Fagen, when they were located, Gurley said.

The girl’s step-father, Jerry Fagen, remains at large, he said.

Authorities believed Jerry Fagen, 30, was on the run with his wife and the two children. He is being sought on two felony warrants.

Gurley said the Paulding County Department of Family and Children’s Services was working with Child Protective Services in Arizona to have the children returned to Georgia.

No charges have been filed against the children’s mother.
