Authorities said Green was accused of soliciting a contract killing against four people from Alabama and three more from Georgia. He also is accused of trying to obtain explosives.

An FBI news release said Green wanted people killed because they were cooperating with law enforcement and also had private conflicts with him. Authorities haven’t given additional details about the possible motive.

Federal court records don’t indicate whether Green has an attorney, and a call to his home telephone number wasn’t immediately returned.
