Snellville man found dead in Taylor County dumpster

Butler — Taylor County authorities say a 22-year-old Snellville man whose body was found inside a dumpster near Butler may have been dead for only a few hours.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents identified the victim as LaShon Douglas.

Taylor County Sheriff Jeff Watson said a local resident found the body Thursday on Highway 127.

How the man died remains under investigation.

Butler is between Macon and Columbus, about 120 miles south of Snellville.
