Stimulus money headed for Georgia schools

The economic stimulus bill the U.S. House of Representatives passed Wednesday night would bring more than $1 billion in additional funding to Georgia's public schools this year and next.

If passed by Congress, all public school districts would receive more money for construction, special education programs and services to help low-income students.
