Georgia will learn Friday night whether state schools Superintendent Kathy Cox is smarter than a fifth-grader.
Cox will appear on the season premiere of the popular game show, “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” The episode airs at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Georgia State Superintendent Kathy Cox did win a math game against sixth-grader Samantha Hall, 11, when she visited Webb Bridge Middle School in Alpharetta last month.
Adults on the show answer questions based on lessons kids learn in elementary school.
The show was taped last month in Los Angeles. Show rules prevent her from disclosing how she did.
No taxpayer money was used for Cox to appear on the show, according to a Georgia Department of Education spokesman.
