The Lula Post Office has been renamed for a fallen soldier from Georgia.
At a ceremony Thursday, the postal facility in Hall County now bears the name of Army Private First Class Johnathon Millican. The 20-year-old Lula native was killed in Iraq in January 2007.

Georgia GOP Congressman Nathan Deal sponsored legislation to allow the name change.
The Army also presented Millican's mother with a Silver Star award in recognition of his bravery.
