Alleged child rapist James Bartholomew Huskey, whom the FBI believes made films for an international child pornography ring, was denied release on bond in a federal court in Atlanta Monday afternoon.
U.S. Magistrate Judge E. Clayton Scofield III told those in the courtroom that Assistant U.S. Attorney Francey Hakes' request for continued detention of Huskey would be granted.

"Part of my decision is in the ongoing nature of the offense," Scofield said.
When FBI agents arrested Huskey on June 16 at his LaFayette home in northwest Georgia, the 38-year-old tennis instructor admitted to sexually molesting a little girl since she was 6 years old, according to an FBI affadavit.
The little girl, now 9, was taken into protective custody as well. Her identity and relationship to Huskey was not disclosed.
During Monday afternoon's preliminary hearing, Hakes presented the judge a video that she said clearly portrayed Huskey sodomizing a girl between the ages of 5 and 9.
"The weight of the evidence in this case is heavy," Scofield said.
Huskey is charged with manufacturing child pornography and uploading it on the Internet. The affidavit said he used "a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing visual depictions of such abuse, and knowing such depictions would be transported in interstate or foreign commerce by any means, including by computer."
For years, videos of the girl's sexual abuse were released to members of the child porn group under the name "The Tara Series," authorities say.
The FBI began their search after Australian law enforcement officials alerted them that several of the group's members live in the United States.
According to the affidavit, the FBI analyzed the videos, noting various background material and using the clues as leads. The investigation took them to a hotel in Carrollton, where they matched a room's bedspread with one seen in a "Tara" recording made on July 21, 2007. That night, the room was registered to Huskey.
Agents also matched the interior of a car in a video with one registered to his wife, Sherri Ann Huskey, who lived at the suspect's address.
She has not been charged.
When arrested, Huskey also admitted to storing "several thousand images of [the girl's] molestation and several hundred videos of sexual molestation on an external hard drive connected to his desktop computer," according to the affidavit.
