• Feb. 1, 2007: Willie Green registers as a lobbyist on the issue of cash advances.
• Feb. 23, 2007: State Rep. Ron Sailor Jr. agrees to pay $120,000 to Green & Green LLC, owned by Green, to settle a debt. Fifty-four acres owned by DeKalb CEO Vernon Jones is posted as collateral.

• Feb. 28: Sailor's deadline to repay the debt passes. No public record shows whether the money was paid.
• March 20: House Bill 163, which would have allowed short-term, high-interest loans in Georgia, fails on a tie vote. Sailor votes for the bill.
• Nov. 10: Sailor meets with an undercover officer working for the FBI. Prosecutors said Sailor told the man, whom he believed was a drug dealer, he could launder money. Sailor later met the man several times and accepted money from him.
• Dec. 19: Federal agents arrest Sailor as he accepts $300,000 in purported drug profits from the agent. He later provides information for a federal investigation of public corruption in Georgia.
• March 18, 2008: Sailor pleads guilty to money laundering. Sentencing is set for May 22.
