Atlanta police kept some downtown streets closed Friday.

CNN Center's food court and retail area joined the ranks of areas that were off limits due to storm damage.

MARTA, meanwhile, reopened two entrances to the Peachtree Center rail station Thursday afternoon —enough to get the station up and running.

No injuries have been reported in the days after the main storm knifed through Atlanta.

CNN Center's food court will be closed until Monday morning, but the Omni Hotel and its two restaurants are open.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Judy Pal said she did not know when the downtown streets will open.

"I know people are getting upset that the roads are still closed," Pal said, "but we're really at the mercy of public safety."

The following downtown streets remained closed Friday:

• Spring Street between Marietta and Harris streets;

• Andrew Young International Blvd. between Williams Street and Peachtree Center Avenue;

• Peachtree Street between Auburn Avenue to Harris Street;

• John Wesley Dobbs between Park Place and Peachtree Center Avenue;

• Marietta Street between Andrew Young International Boulevard and Centennial Olympic Park Drive.

Some side street were being closed intermittently to allow crews to work, the city said.

In Cabbagetown, Boulevard will be closed between Memorial Drive and Gartrell Street for the next few weeks while the walls of the Cotton Mill Lofts are made safe.

The city said most traffic lights are active except for signals at some intersections on Courtland Street. Police were posted at seven intersections Thursday, down from 17 the day before.

After a line of storms moved through the area Wednesday, Thursday brought sunny skies. Friday's forecast is no different: mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s, compared to partly sunny on Saturday with highs in the low 70s.

The outlook for Easter Sunday calls for partly sunny skies with a 20-percent chance of showers, increasing to 40 percent Sunday night into Monday. Highs will be in the low 60s, with lows in the mid 30s.
