Friends and family looked forward to the boxes of Christmas cookies they would get every year from Inita Pullin of Atlanta.
“She made all kinds of cookies,” said her niece, Patricia Budd of Smyrna. “She had a million recipes.”
Ms. Pullin taught home economics at Washington High School for 26 years and put her homemaking skills to use in many ways, including sewing children’s costumes for Halloween and plays.
She had no children of her own, but was known to many as “Aunt Inita,” said Ms. Budd.
Ms. Pullin, 98, died Oct. 2 at Arbor Terrace assisted living home. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Cascade United Methodist Church. Lincoln Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Pullin was born in Asheville, N.C., and earned a degree in home economics at Hampton University. She retired from Atlanta Public Schools in 1963.
Survivors include a brother, Wilford Bosell of Chicago.
