Receiving the appointments to the new schools were: Sara Glynn to an elementary school on Ison Road in Sandy Springs; Ronald T. Trussell to an elementary school on Birmingham Highway in Milton; and Tony Wilcher to an elementary school on West Stubbs Road in southwest Atlanta.

“These educators bring energy, enthusiasm and strong educational backgrounds to their new positions,” said Superintendent Cindy Loe.

Among the principals first priorities is to form a community committee that can develop a unique school identity, such as name, mascot and colors.

The schools are designed for 850 students in kindergarten through fifth grade and are scheduled to open in August.
