Roswell to improve busy intersection

One of the busiest intersections in Roswell is a step closer to safety improvements.

Holcomb Bridge Road at Ga. 9 will have raised medians, landscaping and new turn lanes to improve traffic flow and pedestrian and car safety.

One change, approved recently, would reduce the length of the median on Atlanta Street, south of Holcomb Bridge Road, to allow a left turn into Roswell Village Shopping Center.

The City Council on Wednesday approved final design plans, which also have been approved by the state Department of Transportation. The project will soon be placed out for construction bids.
