A preliminary investigation indicates the men's vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle, Heaton said, although the department is continuing its investigation.
Two people in the second vehicle sustained injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, Heaton said.
The fatal accident closed a portion of Roswell Road for slightly more than two hours.
