Roswell couple indicted for steroid, Viagra sales on Internet

A federal grand jury in Savannah has accused two people of illegally distributing prescription drugs and anabolic steroid paraphernalia through three Web sites.

U.S. Attorney Edmund Booth said Friday that Christian and Jennifer Navoy of Roswell were named in a seven-count indictment, including charges of introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce and mail fraud.

The drugs allegedly sold between 2002 and May through the Web sites — identified as researchchemist.com, pumpnpurpose.com and syntholdirect.com — included Sildenafil citrate, the active ingredient in Viagra.

The alleged offenses carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The government also seeks forfeiture of four properties in Georgia, 11 vehicles and $78,000 in cash.
