Deborah Pernice has been promoted to principal of Ocee Elementary School.
Currently an assistant principal at Medlock Bridge Elementary, Pernice will replace Jan Linscott who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Before coming to Fulton County in 1993, Pernice taught elementary school in New York for 12 years. Since her arrival here, she has been a teacher and special education assistant at Crabapple Crossing Elementary and a teacher at Sweet Apple Elementary. She became an assistant principal at Medlock Bridge in 2004.
Pernice has a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta, a master's degree from Long Island University. She also has a specialist's degree in educational administration and supervision from Lincoln Memorial University and an educational leadership certification from the University of Georgia.
