New Fulton schools chief sworn in

Cindy Loe, the new Fulton County superintendent of schools, was sworn in Tuesday, making the governing board an all-female affair.

Of the seven board members, five of them voted to accept Loe's nomination and two abstained.

In her remarks, Loe said she wants to be a team player and a partner to all stakeholders.

"I am a listener and hard worker," she told more than 50 parents, community members and system employees who came to witness the event.

Immediately after she took the oaths of her office, the board adjourned to executive session following a brief reception.
