Three suspects have been arrested following an armed robbery at a Dollar General, according to Henry County police. But the fourth suspect is still on the loose.
Police said 20-year-old Lauren Mickens acted as a “look-out” and entered the Dollar General in Ellenwood around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Then, two 18-year-olds, Terence Johnson and Jarria Lewis, were wearing bandanas on their faces when they entered store, at 1786 Panola Road, according to witnesses.
Johnson was armed with a handgun and Lewis removed an undisclosed amount of money from the store’s safe, according to police. Both suspects fled the store on foot as police arrived, but Johnson was found about 30 minutes later in a wooded area nearby.
Lewis is still on the loose, Capt. Jason Bolton with the Henry County Police Department said Friday afternoon. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
A fourth suspect, 18-year-old Shakia Harris, apparently helped plan the robbery, police said. It was her vehicle that was used by the other suspects to commit the crime.
Harris, Mickens and Johnson were all arrested the same night of the robberies, according to police.
Detectives believe two of the four suspects may have committed a similar robbery earlier Wednesday.
Just before 1 p.m., the Dollar Spree located at 2806 E. Atlanta Road in Stockbridge was robbed when a suspect entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.
He may have been picked up by an accomplice a short distance away from the store, according to police.
