A Lawrenceville man who was paralyzed from the neck down in a domestic shooting may be facing murder charges.

Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said there is probable cause to believe Derrick Pink shot his ex-wife, Joy Ann-Marie Pink, and then turned the gun on himself in April. Police found the couple in a burning house but don’t know who set the fire.

Joy Pink, 48, died from her injuries last week after spending three months in the hospital. Authorities said she was seeking to evict her ex-husband from the home they shared on Cagle Court. The Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office is conducting an investigation and may present the case to a grand jury for indictment, Schiralli said.
