Man ID’d in Lawrenceville area shooting

Gwinnett County police have named the victim of a double shooting last week in unincorporated Gwinnett County as 21-year-old Demitrius White of Duluth.

Cpl. Illana Spellman said White was found dead Thursday in a car at 97 Caboose Court near Lawrenceville.

A second man, 17-year-old Carl Judson of Norcross, was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released, Spellman said.

It’s unclear if the teen was inside the vehicle with White when either was shot.

No suspects or motives have been identified, and police continue to investigate, she said.
