Four hurt in crash on Peachtree Parkway

Four motorcyclists were hurt, one seriously, in a multi-vehicle crash on Peachtree Parkway in Gwinnett County, authorities said Saturday.

Police said the accident, which occurred about 2:30 p.m., blocked the northbound lanes of Peachtree Parkway at Wellington Lake Drive.

A woman was taken to North Fulton Medical Center with critical injuries, Gwinnett fire department spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said.

Two other motorcyclists were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment, and a fourth was treated at the scene, Rutledge said.

The motorcyclists were part of a group participating in a fund-raising ride out of Rockdale to benefit a children’s home. The riders lost control on the rain-slicked road, authorities said.
