A popular ride at a Loganville amusement park will remain closed at least until next week after a man fell off and injured himself on Tuesday.
The Georgia Department of Labor's Division of Safety Engineering issued a statement Thursday saying McNair Amusements in Loganville had been advised to close down the Swinger Ride until the agency finishes an investigation into the accident.

The agency said it will issue its findings by July 11.
The man was reportedly riding in a swing Tuesday evening when a chain attaching it to the ride became dislodged. The man fell out of the seat while the ride was in motion and was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment of injuries, according to Gwinnett fire Capt. Thomas Rutledge.
Hugh McNair, owner of McNair Amusements, hung up the phone Thursday when contacted by a reporter.
"I'm busy right now, I can't talk to you," he said before ending the call.
Prior to this week, the ride was last inspected on April 23, according to the Georgia Department of Labor's statement.
