A Lilburn man has been arrested on child sex charges.
Thomas Hartridge Bacot, 31, of Charles Street is charged with obscene Internet contact with another person believed to be a child, a felony, GBI spokesman John Bankhead said.
|
Forsyth County investigators called in the GBI in April after learning that Bacot was sending illicit e-mails to a 14-year-old, Bankhead said.
GBI agents searched Bacot's work and home computers and found photos of children that led to two more felony charges, possession and distribution of child pornography, Bankhead said. Agents are investigating whether Bacot took the photos or got them from a Web site or someone else.
A hearing for Bacot, who is out on bond, is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday.
