Four people face criminal charges after a gang feud erupted near Snellville between the "Cold Hearted Killers" and the "Original Paper Chasers," Gwinnett County police said this week.

The arrests are the latest for investigators from the Gwinnett police Gang Task Force Unit, an initiative launched March 8.

Authorities said members of the two rival gangs were involved in a gun battle April 25 on Trotters Way Drive.

Four members of the Cold Hearted Killers drove to a home on Trotters Way Drive and shot at four rivals from the Original Paper Chasers, Officer David Schiralli said.

After the "OPC" gang was fired upon, one of their juvenile members shot back, police said.

Investigators recovered a handgun and a rifle with a sawed-off handle and shaved serial number upon searching the homes of several suspects.

Three suspected members of the Cold Hearted Killers — David Gonsalves, 20, of Snellville, Javon Toppin, 19, of Cumming and an unnamed 14-year-old — were charged with aggravated assault. Police said Gonsalves has not yet been arrested.

Joshua Hendricks, 19, of Stone Mountain, was jailed Monday on charges of possession of marijuana and making false statements for allegedly trying to conceal facts about the shooting.

Hendricks is a suspected member of the Original Paper Chasers.
