Three Norcross athletes, including All-American basketball player Al-Farouq Aminu, arrested for allegedly shooting a woman with a BB gun will not face disciplinary action from the Gwinnett County School District, a spokesman said Monday.
District spokeswoman Sloan Roach said the incident took place off-campus and the students didn't break any school policy.

The students are allowed to stay at Norcross High, Roach said. She declined to say whether the students were in class today.
While the teens are cleared in the classroom there still is a courtroom to face and the incident may have damaged Aminu's immediate future on the basketball court as a national all-star game bearing NBA great Michael Jordan's name could withdraw a invitation to him to play.
Aminu, 17, and fellow basketball players Prince Kent and Quintin Square were arrested last week on charges of felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor criminal trespass. The trio allegedly shot Rebecca Baltich March 14 in front of her home on Jones Bridge Circle in Norcross.
The three teens were sitting in a vehicle when shots were fired and drove away when Baltich's husband, Branden, ran toward his own vehicle and pursued them. He wrote down the license plate of the vehicle the teens occupied.
Kent, also a football player committed to Boston College, and Square were arrested at school earlier last week. Aminu, who has a scholarship to Wake Forest, turned himself in Friday. They are free on $3,500 bonds. An arraignment date for the trio has not yet been set.
Aminu status for the Jordan Brand Classic on April 19 in New York is uncertain. Officials for the game, which features 22 of the top seniors in the country, issued a press release.
"The Jordan Brand has not made any decision about Al-Farouq Aminu's participation in this year's Jordan Brand Classic. As there are a few weeks until our April 19th event, we will wait until all of the facts of the situation have been assessed," said Terri Hines, director of communications.
Meanwhile, Norcross coaches have remained mum on Aminu, but the star's troubles have drawn attention on other high school campuses.
Wesleyan's Tanner Smith was Aminu's roommate on AAU basketball trips the last three years. Smith described Aminu as a quiet, humble kid who is outgoing once he gets to know someone. Smith saw Aminu on Saturday at the Gwinnett County basketball banquet at Berkmar, but they didn't speak about the incident.
"You could tell something was bothering him but he still had a smile on his face, which was great to see," Smith said on Monday. "I think he knows he messed up, but it was great that he made it. We just kind of small talked for a couple of minutes, but you see in his eyes, you could tell that something was bothering him."
"It's definitely been a shocker around the community," Smith said.
Gerald Arnold, who in February resigned as head coach at Peachtree Ridge said he's always preached the "Three C's" to his kids: the classroom, the court and the community because they are role models. "I know at Peachtree Ridge there's been quite a buzz about it," Arnold said Monday. "... There's surprise among the students and staff and then there's a feeling that sometimes good kids just make a mistake.
"It's kind of been a wake-up call. When you do something there's a consequence and it doesn't matter who you are, even a guy like Farouq."
