Let's hope she has insurance.
If not, a driver who accidentally ran her car into a Duluth building on Thursday morning was in the right place to buy some.
|
The driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes, sailed her Honda Accord through the front of the building and came to rest inside a State Farm Insurance Office, said Gwinnett Fire Capt. Thomas Rutledge.
The driver was not hurt in the 10:20 a.m. crash at 3455 Peachtree Industrial Blvd.
A female employee working inside the office suffered a minor injury, but did not want to be treated by paramedics, Rutledge said.
The car took out a glass window, the door frame and a partition wall at the front of the office. Firefighters said the structural damage to the building was minimal.
The fire department did not identify the driver and referred questions about charges to the Duluth Police Department. The Duluth police spokesman could not immediately be reached on Thursday.
