Five men are at the Gwinnett County jail awaiting possible deportation after police raided a Duluth home and seized drugs, cash and an assault rifle.
Acting on a tip about possible illegal activity, federal immigration agents and Gwinnett police officers went Feb. 5 to the Brighton Springs apartment complex at 1470 Boggs Road. They asked a resident for permission to search the home, and he agreed, according to Cpl. Illana Spellman, spokeswoman for the Gwinnett County Police Department.
