DeVry University will formally celebrate the opening of its downtown Decatur campus Thursday with a grand opening ceremony, officials announced Tuesday.
The ceremony will be 1 to 3 p.m. at 1 West Court Square, on the Decatur square, with remarks from DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis.
The school has been holding classes at the new location since January, with facilities on four of the building’s seven floors.
“We are energized by the challenges and opportunities we have ahead of us,” newly appointed DeVry University Atlanta Metro President Christopher Chavez said in a statement. “With this exciting move to downtown Decatur, we look forward to being a part of the wonderful renaissance of this community, and at the same time, offer our students faculty and staff greater opportunities for interaction and outreach with our neighbors.”
