Teen shot to death in Scottdale area

Police have made an arrest in the slaying of a 17-year-old male Wednesday afternoon in DeKalb’s Scottdale community.

The shooting occurred about 3 p.m. at 355 Marigna Ave., said DeKalb Police spokeswoman Bettina Durant. It’s not yet known whether the victim or suspect, or both, lived at the residence. The name of the suspect has not been released.

“The shooting is as a result of a dispute,” Durant said.

The name of the victim was being withheld until the family was notified.
