Investigators believe a minivan that was southbound on I-675 collided with a second southbound vehicle, DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said.

Both of those vehicles then crossed the grassy median and hit a box truck that was southbound on the interstate, Parish said. A second southbound vehicle was also involved in the pile-up.

One person died, and three others suffered “moderate” injuries, Parish said. The identity of her motorist killed had not been determined, Parish said late Thursday morning.

All southbound lanes of I-675 were back open by 1 p.m.
