Raffle, ride to raise money for slain police officers

A recreational motorcycle ride and raffle will raise money for the families of slain DeKalb County police officers Ricky Bryant Jr. and Eric Barker. The annual Shelby Ride, which benefits families of fallen officers, will be conducted by the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club’s Atlanta chapter on Sept. 20. Riders will register at 11:30 a.m. at Harley Davidson of Cartersville, 2281 Highway 411 North, and leave at 1:30 p.m. on a ride to Kennesaw.

A $20,000 Harley Davidson is the raffle prize. Raffle tickets are $20 and may be purchased by contacting Keisha Williams at the DeKalb County Police Department at 770-724-7942 or krwillia@co.dekalb.ga.us.
