There's no way to tell how the voting is going in Dunwoody's cityhood referendum.
But the voting is definitely going.

With two weeks to go before the July 15 referendum on incorporation for the north DeKalb community, nearly 600 people have requested absentee ballots, and more than 300 have sent their ballots in, or voted in person on a voting machine.
According to the DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections office, as of Tuesday, 584 absentee ballots had been mailed out to voters in precincts in Dunwoody. Of those, 282 had been returned. In addition, 24 other citizens had voted in person for a total of 306 voters cast.
Voters have the option of casting a Republican, Democratic or non-partisan ballot. Absentee voters in Dunwoody have leaned Republican to this point. So far, 347 had cast a Republican primary ballot, 231 chose the Democratic ballot, and six asked for the non-partisan ballot.
Absentee voting began June 2, the first day voters could ask for the ballots to be mailed to them, as well as the first day they could go to the main elections office and vote in person.
Several political offices are up for election on July 15, including DeKalb CEO and three county commission seats. But for Dunwoody residents, the referendum is a main draw.
Advance voting begins next Monday, July 7, in person at Brook Run, 4770 North Peachtree Road, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters are not required to give a reason for voting early.
