An Austell woman told police she used the two pairs of pliers in her bra and the flashlight in her front pocket to steal scrap metal from vacant trailers in her neighborhood.

Rhonda Mayfield, 36, told police she stole a washing machine from a vacant trailer, according to an arrest warrant. She was also seen in another trailer before she was arrested, police said.

Another woman, 45-year-old Judy Lynn Vaughn of Mableton, helped Mayfield by driving her, according to Cobb County police.

Both women have been in the Cobb jail since Friday night, according to jail records.

Mayfield, who is also wanted in Paulding County on separate charges, is being held without bond. She apparently initially gave a police officer an incorrect name. Mayfield faces two felony charges related to the incident.

Vaughn’s bond has been set at $7,000. She faces a felony burglary charge.
