Missing Smyrna teen found

Just hours after the search began, Smyrna police found a 13-year-old boy who had been missing.

Demetrius Neal was at Campbell High School around noon on Thursday when he told his aunt he was going to walk to a nearby McDonald’s, Smyrna Police spokesman Officer Michael Smith said.

The aunt went searching for the boy when he didn’t return. At 2 p.m. on Friday, the family reported the boy missing to police, Smith said.

By 9:15 p.m., he had been located, Smith said. No other details were available.
