2 suspects caught after Smyrna woman’s death

Two men suspected in the Saturday killing of a Smyrna woman were captured Thursday after officers chased the suspects on foot at the Concord Chase Apartments in Smyrna.

Smyra police announced the arrests Thursday afternoon, but did not immediately release the names of the suspects.

Police spokesman Michael Smith said in a news release that police were led to the suspects with “public help” after investigators released a video surveillance tape of the two suspects.

They were recorded at a Citgo station on Concord Road in Smyrna on Saturday night, when Adrianne Young was reportedly killed.

In the surveillance tape, two men were seen trying to used a credit card belonging to Young, 30, who had just been found dead in her car in the parking lot of the Mission at Galleria Apartments on Lincoln Trace Avenue in Smyrna.

Police have neither released the time nor cause of Young’s death.
