Motorcyclist dies in crash on Delk Road

Marietta police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist Wednesday afternoon.

Steven L. Holder, 24, was driving eastbound on Delk Road around 2:45 p.m. when witnesses say he lost control of his 2000 Yamaha motorcycle and struck another vehicle.

Holder, of Marietta, was pronounced dead upon arrival at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

Police did not specify where on Delk the accident occurred, but the Georgia Department of Transportation issued traffic advisories Wednesday afternoon about a fatal motorcycle crash at Delk and Franklin roads.

Police did not report any other injuries or if any citations were issued.
