Runaway from Florida found in Marietta

Marietta police found a 13-year-old runaway from Florida safe and unharmed Monday, and her 19-year-old boyfriend was arrested on four felony charges, Officer Mark Bishop said.

Erin Harrell, who fled a Pensacola group home during the weekend, was found at Autumn View Apartments in Marietta.

Police had feared she had been hurt because she told her sister that her boyfriend tried to cut off her finger, and he beat her severely with a belt.

Bishop said those claims were false.

The boyfriend, who gave his name as Juan Carlos Hernandez, was charged with child molestation, interference with custody, providing a false name and obstruction. Bishop said police are not sure if the boyfriend gave his correct name.
