Man jumps from I-285 bridge in Cobb

Cobb County police are trying to determine why a man jumped off an interstate bridge in Cobb County.

It happened early Monday at around 3 a.m.

Police said the driver was pulled over on I-285 when he bolted from his vehicle and jumped off the bridge near Akers Mill Road.

Officers estimated the man fell 34 feet. His name was withheld and he suffered two broken legs.

Police also said marijuana was seized from the vehicle.
