Cobb police have released the names of the elderly couple whose bodies were found in their home Friday afternoon.

Constantino Devito, 76, and Frances Devito, 74, were found dead from gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide at their Barrett Cottage Place home off Bells Ferry Road.

Police went to the couple's home in northeast Cobb after a man called Cobb's 911 center and said he had shot his wife and was going to shoot himself, Sgt. Dana Pierce, a Cobb police spokesman, said.

The couple had medical problems and other medical conditions had surfaced recently, police said.
