Clayton County voters turned out incumbent District Attorney Jewel Scott in Tuesday's runoff election while re-electing Eldrin Bell, the current commission chairman.
With all precincts reporting, Scott's challenger, Juvenile Court Judge Tracy Graham-Lawson, had collected 61 percent of the vote. Jewel Scott had 39 percent.

"God's will has been done," Graham-Lawson said late Tuesday night. "I am proud to serve the citizens of Clayton County for the next four years. I appreciate everyone's support."
The district attorney's husband, Lee Scott, ran against Bell and also lost. Bell had 59 percent of the vote and Lee Scott 41 percent.
"I'm so excited about what I've witnessed the people of Clayton County do tonight," Bell said. "They have come together to put a slate of people in office well qualified to carry the county forward. We have a team of people, black and white, determined to carry the county forward to unprecedented levels."
Bell and Jewel Scott easily swept into office in 2004 as a slate of black politicians won election in Clayton County. Each was the first black to hold their respective office.
This year, both had heavy opposition that split the vote, forcing the top two vote-getters into a runoff.
Bell was Atlanta's first black police chief and served in law enforcement for more than 30 years. Lee Scott describes himself as a businessman but declined repeated requests for interviews. He was a no-show for a recent debate with Bell.
Graham Lawson is the county juvenile court judge and was a veteran assistant district attorney under Scott's predecessor, Bob Keller. She promised to be a more hands-on district attorney than Jewel Scott, who has almost no prosecutorial experience and insisted the office of district attorney is largely administrative.
Since taking office, Jewel Scott had minor roles in two high-profile murder trials but mostly let her staff take the lead in the courtroom.
In County Commission District 3, incumbent Wole Ralph had 58 percent of the vote and challenger Angela Redding had 42 percent.
