An Alabama man who came to Georgia on Sunday for a job was shot to death in his cousin's yard the same afternoon, Clayton County police said.
Christian A. Miranda-Giron, 23, of Oneonta, Ala., was found shot to death in his cousin's yard on Madison Court in Jonesboro, Officer Tim Owens said. Witnesses told police they heard one shot and saw a gray car driving away.

The victim's cousins told police he just arrived in Jonesboro Sunday afternoon to start a job in Buford. Witnesses said the victim put down his belongings inside the house and walked outside. A few minutes later, he was shot, police said.
No arrests have been made.
