He is charged with second degree vehicular homicide, failure to maintain lane and driving too fast for conditions, police said.
Greene was driving his father's 1991 Jaguar along Lake Jodeco Road about 4:10 a.m. Saturday when he lost control in a curve near Lago Drive, Dickens said.
His passenger, Tracey Louis Smith, 19, of Hampton was unrestrained and ejected from the car when it hit a tree, police said. Smith was dead at the scene.
Greene will be arrested upon his release from the hospital, police said.
