Commissioner Gray enters race for chairman

Veteran Clayton County Commissioner Virgina Burton Gray joined the race for county chairman Wednesday. Gray, who has represented District 2 since 1997, will be running against incumbent and former Atlanta Police Chief Eldrin Bell ans former Clayton assistant district attorney's chief of staff Earl Randall.

Incumbent school board member David Ashe qualified to run for re-election in District 7 Tuesday, but his filing was not reported on AJC.com. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, the following people had qualified to run for election in Clayton.
