Toddler found wandering street alone

Police say a 3-year-old boy is home with his father now after neighbors found him wandering through southwest Atlanta Monday morning.

The toddler was walking alone on Butner Road, Atlanta Police spokesman Officer Eric Schwartz said.

Suzette Young, 28, told officers she dropped her son off at his father’s house.

“The child never made it in the house safely,” Schwartz said.

Officers returned the boy to his father. The child was not injured, Schwartz said.

Young was arrested on charges of cruelty to children and taken to jail.
