Man shot in face in South Fulton

A College Park man was shot in the face late Saturday evening after an apparent argument, police said.

Police are investigating the incident that happened around 7 p.m., in front of the home at 3055 Baxley Court. Rodriquez Aldridge, 26, was shot once in the face and once in the chest, Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester said.

Aldridge was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he is in fair condition Sunday.

A group of men were standing around in the cul de sac when three vehicles approached, Lester said.

“There were words exchanged between one of the subjects in the vehicles and our victim,” she said. “Shots were fired.”

Police are interviewing witnesses on the scene to identify possible suspects and a motive, Lester said.
