Police seek suspect in apartment killing

A man was shot to death in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly before 3:30 p.m., an unnamed victim and his fiancee were returning from the store to his sister’s Hidden Hollow apartment at 415 Fairburn Road in southwest Atlanta, said Lt. Keith Meadows with the Atlanta Police Department.

They encountered the suspect in the breezeway of the apartment, said Meadows.

Witnesses told police a discussion ensued.

At some point, the suspect shot the male victim. Police said the victim was shot twice — once in the arm and once in the chest. He died at the scene.

Police do not have a motive or a suspect.
