Police ID man shot dead in southwest Atlanta

Fulton County Medial Examiners have released the name of the man shot to death in southwest Atlanta this morning.

Joele Fanning, 35, of Atlanta was killed in the parking lot of an apartment on Myrtle Drive, in a neighborhood off Campbellton Road around 1 a.m.

Atlanta police Lt. Keith Meadows said investigators had not determined a motive for the shooting. But have put out a “be on the lookout” for the victim’s black Dodge Durango which the suspect used to flee the scene.
