Police are investigating the scene of a shooting in College Park and searching for the gunman who opened fire on the occupants of a Toyota Sunday night.
Three victims were taken to Grady Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds and a fourth was located at Southern Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. The identity of the victims has not been released as the investigation continues, Lt. Reed Pollard of College Park Police said. Pollard said two females are in critical condition and one male is in fair condition.
Police are looking for a male driver of a reddish, small car and his female passenger for questioning in the shooting.
“It’s a revenge or retaliation-type shooting,” Pollard said. “We’re getting a lot of information. We’re trying to develop a suspect right now.”
The shooting took place outside Hampton Place Townhomes in College Park. The driver of the Toyota drove away before pulling over in the parking lot of a Wachovia Bank at the corner of Old National Highway and Old Bill Cook Road in South Fulton County and calling police.
The shooting followed another drive-up shooting Sunday afternoon in which two were injured. Police are still searching for one of the two gunmen responsible for the shooting, which occurred at The Park at Lakewood Apartments, less than 9 miles from the site of the evening shooting.
Pollard said he does not think the two incidents are related.
