SunTrust bank in Midtown robbed

Atlanta police Wednesday were investigating the late-morning robbery of a bank in Midtown.

The SunTrust branch at 760 West Peachtree St. was held up about 10 a.m., Atlanta police spokesman Eric Schwartz said.

Schwartz said the suspect, who remains at large, did not display a weapon, and no one was injured.

According to police dispatchers, witnesses reported that the suspect, a black male in his late 40s, left the bank on foot wearing blue sweat pants and a white t-shirt, then took off the pants and shirt and was wearing tan pants and a tank-style shirt underneath those clothes.
