Lester said the victim, who was in his early 20s, was transported from the scene by friends, who flagged down an ambulance en route to the hospital.

The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Grady Memorial Hospital.

No arrests have been made, and investigators were still trying to determine what led up to the shooting, Lester said.
