A federal grand jury in Atlanta has indicted 13 people with making and distributing counterfeit DVD movies, such as “Gran Torino,” “Changeling” and “Dark Knight.”

The individuals also are charged with pirating the copyrighted recordings of Lil Wayne, Kanye West, T.I. and Robin Thicke, according to the indictment, handed up this week. “CD and DVD counterfeiters and their suppliers foster and live off an underground economy at the expense of this country’s creative artists and citizens,” U.S. Attorney David Nahmias said in a statement.
